Thank you. Together, we were able to defeat a plan to expand the number of "brownouts" at your local fire station. The vote was unanimous, and I sincerely appreciate the willingness of my City Council colleagues to join me in killing this plan, an ill-advised measure that would have put your family's lives and property at greater risk. This was a big win for our city and our effort to make public safety a priority. Thank you for your help on this issue, and for continuing to being engaged in our city's future.
P.S. -- I will be in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, along with the Mayors of LA, San Diego, and San Jose, to meet with Obama Administration officials, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Sen.
