Here's another chance to put Sacramento on the map and help a community organization -- something I've pledged to do as Mayor. Over at Sac State, students are competing in a global innovation competition and they need your help by noon on Thursday! The competition hosted by Stanford University (http://sen.stanford.edu/), challenged students to create as much value as possible using water bottles. According to the Sacramento News & Review, Sac State’s team met the challenge by creating a video about recycling (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adQBKv-SBjw), which members put together after two days of brainstorming while in-between midterms.
Here’s where you come into play: Whoever generates the most YouTube views (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adQBKv-SBjw) for their video by noon PST on Thursday, December 4 will win the Viral Marketing Award in the global competition.
Sac State is competing against more than 500 teams from 14 countries and is just a few clicks away!
Remember to watch the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adQBKv-SBjw) all the way through or else the view might not be counted.
Paul Dickey says, “The university winner will not receive a free trip to Hawaii or scholarship prize money, only the right for Sacramento to receive world-wide recognition in the face of global competition."
