• Increase the number of uniformed officers patrolling Sacramento streets
• Increase funding through state and federal homeland security grants
• Reduce gang violence through improved prevention and interdiction efforts
• Improve safety on public transit
• Improve surveillance of high crime areas
• Restore a basic level of 100-year flood protection as soon as possible
• Restore 200-year flood protection by 2012
