Ensure an accessible, accountable and fiscally responsible city government.

Goals and Priorities

  • Devise a long-term plan to grow revenue base
  • Be out and about in the city
  • Institute office hours where citizens have direct access to the Mayor
  • Hold regular town hall meetings in all neighborhoods
  • Conduct audit of city finances and expand city auditing capabilities
  • Develop a "SacStat" accountability structure
  • Explore a change to the city charter to an executive mayor structure
  • Increase use of 311
  • Create a citywide Director of Customer Service
  • Change the way salaries for Mayor and City Council Members are set
  • Require a 10% reserve for city budget
  • Make mayoral calendar open to public
